Lindsley has been a member of the Syracuse media since 2002.
He joined the Citadel Broadcasting family in March, 2010, as a talk show host, reporter and sales representative for “The Score 1260.” Mike previously performed the same duties at Clearchannel’s SportsRadio 620 WHEN and NewsRadio 570 WSYR. |

Lindsley has covered the Baseball Hall of Fame inductions, Buffalo Bills training camp, Buffalo Sabres playoff games, the PGA Tour’s Turning Stone Resort Championship and all Syracuse sports teams, most notably the Syracuse University men’s basketball team as an in-depth reporter and columnist. Lindsley covered the New York Yankees as host of “Pinstripe Passion,” an all-Yankees talk show on 620 WHEN and currently through his website, www.pinstripepassion.com.
He has interviewed Derek Jeter, Bobby Richardson, Don Larsen, Goose Gossage, Joe Torre, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, Don Mattingly, Dave Winfield, Joe Girardi, Bobby Murcer, Bob Sheppard, Bob Feller, Buck O’Neil, Marv Levy, Jim Brown, Floyd Little, Jim Kelly, Bobby Bowden, Jim Boeheim and best-selling authors John Feinstein and the late David Halberstam. The nicest athlete he has ever interviewed was Bernie Williams. The most miserable one was Randy Johnson. Lindsley also operates cnyathletics.com, a website that covers Central New York sports through its articles, opinion pieces, pictures and interviews. He "wanted to create something different for the Central New York sports fan." He graduated from St. Bonaventure University (Class of 2002) with a bachelor's degree in journalism and minor in Spanish. As sports director at WSBU radio, he hosted talk shows, reported on all Division One sports teams and color commentated for women's basketball. Mike also anchored and reported for WSBU-TV. Lindsley is an avid golfer and has two career hole-in-ones; on #7 at Drumlins West with a five-wood and #8 on Drumlin’s East with a pitching wedge. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing ping pong and tennis, traveling, watching Family Guy and attending Dave Matthews Band concerts. | Rocco's photo essays of local sporting events will be posted on cnyathletics.com. His photos of Syracuse University football and basketball games have already been featured on the website as well as the 2006 Baseball Hall of Fame Ceremony on pinstripepassion.com. Carbone covered high school sports for the Post-Standard (1990-1995) and worked in the Syracuse Chiefs media relations department (1994-1995).
He currently works in the Syracuse City School District and is the Voice of the Cougars (Corcoran High School). He won the 2005 New York State High School Public Address Announcer Award, given by the National Association of Sports Public Address Announcers (NASPAA). |
